had earlier kept the time for paying the installment of the house up to 5
years, which has been changed to 3 years.
🖋 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana December 2022 Update
The Central Government has approved the construction of 1.07 lakh
houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. These constructions will be
done in 5 states of the country which are Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra
Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Puducherry. The approval for these constructions
was given in the meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee. This
information has been provided by the Ministry of Urban Development. The
meeting was presided over by Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Urban
Development. Apart from this, the implementation of Pradhan
Mantri Awas Yojana was reviewed by the Ministry of Urban
Development.

It was informed by the Ministry that the construction of 1.14
crore had been approved under this scheme. Out of which the construction
work of 53 lakh houses has been completed. An investment of Rs 7.52 crore
has been made by the government so far.

In which the central government's share is Rs 1.85 crore. Out
of this amount, the central government has released Rs 1.14 crore. Orders
have been given to the States and Union Territories by the Secretary, Ministry
of Urban Development to expedite the construction of houses.

He also reviewed the construction of lighthouse projects in
Chennai, Indore, Rajkot, Ranchi, Agartala, Lucknow and ordered to complete them
within the time limit.
🖋 3.61 lakh houses approved for construction
The 54th meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring
Committee was constituted by the government under the Pradhan
Mantri Awas Yojana in Delhi. In this meeting, 708 proposals
have been approved for the construction of 3.61 lakh houses in urban areas. 13
states and union territories participated in this meeting. Approval has
been given for the construction of a total of 112.4 lakh houses under the
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana till 9 June 2021. Out of which preparations are
being started for the construction of 82.5 houses and 48.31 lakh houses have
been constructed and handed over to the beneficiaries. A total of Rs 7.35
lakh crore will be spent by the government for the construction of houses.
Out of this amount, Rs 1.81 lakh crore has been provided by the
Central Government, out of which an amount of Rs 96067 crore has been provided
so far. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is emphasizing on
timely completion of housing
construction across the country. In
this meeting, it has also been proposed to amend the projects by the State and
Union Territories keeping in mind the reasons like land-site hazard, inter-city
migration, loss of life, etc.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched in 2015 by the Prime

housing to the citizens of the state has been set by the Chief Minister of
Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. This target is to provide housing to 17.58
crore beneficiaries. Out of these 17.58 lakh families, 10.58 lakh families
are under construction and the construction of the rest has been completed. With
the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, citizens across the country are now getting
their own houses. About two crore houses have
been made available under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana across the country. Out
of which, 30 lakh families are from Uttar Pradesh.

So far, 50,740 houses have been provided to the citizens of Uttar
Pradesh under the
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the first installment
amount has been provided for the construction of 21,562 houses. This
amount is ₹ 87 crores.

After the construction of the house, this number will increase to
72,302. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Rs 1.30 lakh has been
provided for the construction of houses in Naxal affected districts which are
Sonbhadra, Chandauli, and Mirzapur, and Rs 1.20 lakh has been provided to the
beneficiaries of the remaining districts.

Under this scheme, the amount is deposited in the account of the
beneficiary in 3 installments. The first installment is 40 thousand, the
second installment is 70 thousand and the third installment is ₹ 10000.

PM Awas Yojana Award has been announced by

🖋 Affordable Rental Housing – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Under the self-reliant India scheme, the government of India will
provide the facility of rented accommodation on a low budget for the poor
people of the city. This facility will be known as the Affordable Housing
