Covid Parivar Arthik Sahayata Yojana
Chief Minister Covid-19 Family Financial Assistance Scheme has
been started on 22 June 2021 by the Social Welfare Department of Delhi. Through
this scheme, financial assistance will be provided by the government to all
those citizens whose family member has died due to coronavirus infection.
Financial assistance of ₹ 50000 will be provided to all eligible citizens
through this scheme. Apart from this, ₹ 2500 per month will also be provided to
all eligible beneficiaries as pension. There are no income criteria set by the
government to avail of the benefits of this scheme. Only permanent residents of
Delhi can take advantage of this scheme.

The benefit of Mukhyamantri
Covid Parivar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana 2022 will
be provided only if the deceased member of the family is income-earning. The
government will also consider enrolling the affected family members as civil defense
volunteers.

✎ 100 crore additional amount released for 11 districts
This information has been provided by the officials of Delhi
Disaster Response Fund on 23 January 2022 that a lump sum amount of ₹ 50000 has
been provided to 21914 families in Delhi. Those who lost their family
members to corona infection. This amount is being provided under the Chief
Minister's Covid-19 Family Financial Assistance Scheme. So far 25586
citizens have died due to coronavirus infection in Delhi. Out of which
21914 families have been provided lump sum amount. The remaining
beneficiaries will also be provided the amount of benefit soon.
An additional amount of Rs 100
crore has been released by Delhi Disaster Management Authority on 22 January
2022 for 11 districts. A lump sum amount will be paid under this scheme
from this amount. Apart from this, the assistance of Rs 2500 per month is
also being provided to the beneficiaries by the Social Welfare Department under
this scheme.
✎ The lump-sum amount provided to 21235 citizens
₹ 50000 has been provided by the Delhi Government to 21235
citizens who lost a family member under the Chief Minister's Covid-19 Financial
Assistance Scheme. Apart from this, monthly financial
assistance of ₹ 2500 is being provided to 7955 citizens. The work of
disbursement of compensation under this scheme is being done expeditiously. Apart
from this, a lump sum amount will also be provided to 1500 beneficiaries in the
coming few days. About 2000 citizens have also refused to take ex-gratia. 9484
applications for a monthly pension have been approved by the Delhi Government. Pension
is already being received by 7955 citizens every month.

A total of 25100 applications have been received for ex-gratia

verification of applicants. Most of the applications are in the final
stage of acceptance. The process of verification of 1120 applications for
receipt of pension is going on. Assistance was provided to 1529 citizens
through the portal and the amount of assistance was sent to their bank account
in 3 to 4 days.

✎ The lump-sum amount will be provided to 13005 families
A high-level meeting on Chief Minister Covid Family Financial Assistance Scheme was
reviewed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 8 October 2021 at Delhi
Secretariat. Chief Secretary and District Magistrate of Delhi, Chief
Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Cabinet
Ministers Kailash Gehlot, and Rajendra Pal Gautam were also present in this
meeting. The progress report of last week was presented by the officials
in this meeting. This information was provided by the officials that 14605
eligible beneficiaries receiving lump sum amount under the scheme have been
verified online and at their homes. Out of which a lump sum amount of ₹
50000 has been sent to 13005 citizens in their bank account. Soon this
amount will also be provided to all the victims' families.
✎ Pension is being provided to 86% of the citizens who apply
Out of all the applications received so far for monthly pension
under the Chief Minister's Covid Family Financial Assistance Scheme, 86% of the
citizens have been provided a monthly pension of ₹ 2500 after verification. The
work of giving monthly pensions to all the victims is also going on fast. But
many such beneficiaries have not been able to register on the online portal to
get the benefits of the scheme. Keeping this in mind, instructions have
been given by the Chief Minister to make the application process simple and
accessible. Pension will be provided to all eligible citizens by next
week.
Instructions have been given by the Chief Minister to provide
pension amount to all the affected families at the earliest. To get the
benefit of this scheme, there will be no need for a death certificate and
surviving member certificate. Beneficiaries will be identified from the
MHA list or official records.
✎ More than 11000 applications received under the scheme
So far more than 11219 applications have been received under the Chief Minister's Covid Financial
Assistance Scheme launched by the Delhi Government. A
lump-sum request amount of ₹ 50000 will be provided to all these citizens. So
far, this lump sum amount has been provided to 5323 citizens and approval has
been issued for another 1431 cases. The camps organized by Child Welfare
Committees were also inspected by Delhi Women and Child Development Minister
Rajendra Pal Gautam. Women are being assisted in applying through these
camps.

Children who have lost their parents due to COVID-19 are also
being identified and assisted through these camps. All such children are
being applied through these camps under the Chief Minister's Covid Family
Financial Assistance Scheme.

Many children in the state are unable to apply. It has also
been decided to organize a special camp for all such children. All such
children are also being identified by the Child Welfare Committee, District
Magistrate, Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
✎ 10000 applications received under Chief Minister Covid Family Financial Assistance Scheme
As you all know Mukhyamantri Covid Parivar Financial Assistance
Scheme has been started for those families whose family member has died due to
Coronavirus infection. Financial assistance will be provided by the Delhi
government to all such eligible families. This financial assistance will
be provided in the form of pension and lump sum amount. So far 10000

applications have been approved. While about 6300 applications are

Out of these 3708 applications, 1257 families will be provided the

lump sum compensation. About 6291 applications are pending under these two
schemes. All pending applications are being scrutinized at various levels. Social
Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam has instructed the concerned officers that
the process of providing benefits under this scheme should be started at the
earliest.
✎ Gazette notification issued
The Delhi High Court was informed by the Delhi Government on 26
August 2021 that assisting the family of citizens who died due to coronavirus
infection has been made effective by issuing a gazette notification on 22 June
2021. It was also provided by the Delhi Government that two types of
financial assistance are provided through this scheme. The first is
monthly financial assistance through which a pension of ₹ 2500 will be provided
to the family and the second is one-time financial assistance through which
ex-gratia assistance of ₹ 50000 will be provided to the family of the deceased. All
those citizens who have lost their family members due to Coronavirus infection
are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
✎ Chief Minister Covid Family Financial Assistance Scheme Video Conferencing

Covid Parivar Arthik Sahayata Yojana has been launched by
Delhi Government for all such people on 6th July 2021 through video

applications of 5 beneficiaries have also been made.
Through this scheme, a lump sum financial assistance of ₹
50000 will be provided to the victim's family. Apart

✎ Eligible beneficiaries will be applied by the representatives themselves

state, Arvind Kejriwal, that the government will not wait for the people
to apply themselves under the Chief

government representatives will go to the victim's house and get the victim's

launched by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 18 May 2021. Through
this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 50000 will be provided to those families
whose family member has died due to coronavirus infection. Apart from
this, a pension of ₹ 2500 will also be provided to them. A pension of ₹
2500 will also be provided to those children up to the age of 25 whose parents
or either of the parents have died due to coronavirus infection. To apply under Mukhyamantri Covid Parivar
Arthik Sahayata Yojana, now the Delhi government will soon
launch the portal.

✎ The working method of Chief Minister Covid Family Financial Assistance Scheme

Information related to death due to coronavirus will be shared by
the health department with the social welfare department.
·
This information will be sent through the Divisional Commissioner
Headquarters Health Department to the SDM of the area for verification of the
cases coming under the respective jurisdiction.
·
After this, the representative of the sub-division level will
visit the beneficiary's house.
·
A representative will be appointed by the SDM through digital
medium to visit the house.
·
The representative will also assist in furnishing the details in
the applications.
·
All relevant details will be collected at the time of visit by the
representative.
·
While visiting the representative will verify the details given in
the application form.
·
It will also be the responsibility of the representative to
collect all the documents.
·
The report of all the verified applications will be submitted by
the SDM field staff within five working days.
·
After this, the report will be sent to the District Social Welfare
Officer of the Social Welfare Department through the online district portal for
approval.
·
The application can be accepted or rejected by the SDM within 12
days from the date of application.
·
After this, the District Social Welfare Officer of the Social
Welfare Department will verify the documents submitted as per the eligibility
criteria and will accept the request.
·
The Social Welfare Headquarters will be processed for release of
payment within 3 days of receipt of the recommendation.
·
The financial assistance request under this scheme will be
accepted or rejected within a maximum time limit of 15 days.
·
In case the application is rejected, the SDM will provide online
information to the DM along with the reason for the rejected cases.
·
An appeal can be made to the District Magistrate for
reconsideration of the applications.
·
The District Magistrate will dispose of the appeal based on the
standard operating procedure developed by the Social Welfare Department.
📑 Details of Beneficiaries of Delhi Covid-19 Family Financial Assistance Scheme
✎ In case of death of husband
In the event of the death of the earning husband, the wife will be
provided financial assistance of ₹ 2500 per month for life. Apart from
this, the benefit of a widow pension scheme can also be availed by the wife.
✎ In case of death of wife
If the earning wife dies, then in this situation, financial
assistance of ₹ 2500 will be provided to the husband for life.
✎ In case of death of a parent(single)
If only one of the parents was alive and he dies due to a coronavirus
infection, then in this situation, financial assistance of ₹ 2500 will be given
to each child till the age of 25 through the Chief Minister's Covid-19 Family
Financial Assistance Scheme. will be provided.
✎ In case of death of both parents
In case of the death of both the parents, financial assistance
of ₹ 2500 should be provided to each child. This financial assistance will
be provided to them till the age of 25 years. (Benefit of this scheme can
be availed even if one of the mother or fathers dies due to coronavirus variant
and the other has died earlier due to some other reason) If the deceased does
not have children, then in this situation In this financial assistance will be
provided to the parents of the deceased, they can also get the benefit of the old-age
pension scheme.
✎ In case of death of son or daughter
If the earning son or daughter
dies, then their parents will be provided financial assistance of ₹ 2500 for
