Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Could Have a Punch Hole Display
Samsung is the only reputed smartphone manufacturer that hasn’t yet opted for a notched display in its flagship smartphones. Well, it looks like the brand will skip the notch altogether in its flagship series in favor of a punch-hole display. Recently leaked images of the Galaxy S10 Plus show that the device has a punch-hole display. In my opinion, the punch-hole looks a lot better than a notch. Samsung has already launched its first smartphone with the punch-hole display, the Galaxy A8s. Therefore, we don’t see any reason why Samsung wouldn’t use it in its flagship smartphone.
A Total of Five Cameras
Recently leaked renders and live images of the Galaxy S10 Plus show that the device has a triple-camera setup at the rear and a dual-camera setup at the front, making a total of five cameras. This is not something that other Android flagship smartphones have.
As of now, there is no information on the resolution of these cameras. However, it is expected that the triple-camera setup at the back will have 12MP + 12MP + 12MP configuration. The first 12MP camera is expected to have normal FoV, second one is expected to be a telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom, whereas, the third camera is rumored to have wide-angle FoV. The Galaxy S10 Plus will be the first S series device to feature 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. As for the dual-camera setup at the front, there will be one camera with normal FoV, and one with wide-angle FoV.
Will Feature Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 855 SoC, Depending on Region
There is one thing we know for sure about the Galaxy S10 Plus, and that is, the device will be powered by either the Exynos 9820 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Both chipsets have already been launched. The Exynos 9820 features two high-performance custom CPU cores, another two high-performance Cortex-A75 cores, four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali-G76 MP12 GPU. On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 has one high-performance Kryo 485 Prime CPU core, another three high-performance Kryo 485 cores, four power-efficient Kryo 385 cores, and Adreno 640 GPU. The Exynos 9820 is built on the 8nm manufacturing process, whereas, the Snapdragon 855 is built on the 7nm manufacturing process. Both chipsets will have identical performance.
